I have approached Moms and Dads during this time to help us creatively get through these times with some sage advice and some awesome tunes.

Cattie Gett is the owner of THE STAPLE STORE and author of NOTES TO MY FUTURE DAUGHTER and NOTES TO FUTURE SON.

Song that get me through "Dance Monkey Dance" by Tones and I

Catties 5 ways of living in these times are:

1. I have a glass of wine at lunch time.

2. Tie dying everything. 😬🤔

3. I’m going to do a mini detox. With wine. Dry skin brushing, to be continued.

The Staple Store daily tea detox, some liver herbs and lung tonics. Lots of filtered water. And a whole bunch of mantras.

4. Juggling an epic amount of things, my brain is currently in 1 million billion pieces. Being a single mama with no family here is a real deal, managing the shop, books and my mental health are a-lot of balls to keep in the air. So can’t wait for us to get this madness under control and manageable. In the meantime I’m day-dreaming and night-dreaming of taking naps with Scout and eating picnic meals down by Merri cheek and having zoom dinner parties with people I’ve never met before.

5. And...I’ll probably give Tinder another crack, social isolation means there’s very little risk of having to get dressed up or having to make up on.

5.a find my garden under the jungle.
5.b learning to make home made English muffins.
5.c and crumpets.
5.d write actual paper and pen letters to people I love and am missing desperately.
5.e probably too much colouring-in
5.f online shopping to support small businesses through the next couple of months.
